I'm so glad to see that some of you have joined! After taking the summer institute, I'm really looking forward to writing with my students. I took a long look at myself this summer to answer the question: What kind of writer am I? I would like to pose this as an inquiry with my students in the fall. Sharing my writing with others was also a powerful experience for me this summer. I know I want to provide my students with more time to share their writing with each other. Right now, I'm rereading some of the professional literature I have at home about Writer's Workshops and I'm thinking about my schedule and how this would look I've thought about having my Earth Talk time after Writer's Workshop so students could share their writing then and having smaller color group writing groups that meet daily with me. What do you think? Any ideas for me? What are you thinking about for your classes?

    Welcome!
Hello Kathy, Karen, Sheila, Candi, Sheri and Teri!

I learned a little bit about Nings this summer which are a lot like Wikis so I wanted to give this a try. I set this up so we could have an ongoing collaboration conversation. As I understand it, our conversations can be read by others but only we can edit and reply to each other. I thought this would be a great way for us to share some of those creative thoughts that pop up over the summer that we hope to apply during the school year. We can give each other feedback, too. Let me know what you are thinking!

This wiki space was created by the K/1st multiage teachers at Borton Primary Magnet School in the Tucson Unified School District. Borton is a Waters Foundation Project Center school, we strive to incorporate Systems Thinking language and tools throughout the curriculum. We are fortunate to have a great collaboration team consisting of four K/1 teachers, an art/music teacher, a Systems Thinking Coordinator, and an awesome principal. We share similar teaching philosophies and a desire to create learning environments that meet the educational and emotional needs of all of our students. Check out our web pages at http://edweb.tusd.k12.az.us/Borton/index.htm
